I’m sorry I’ve been too under the weather to post much lately…but on top of The Cold That Will Never Go Away, I’ve been struggling with another kind of infection.
I’d love to say it’s all done–believe me!–but I still have to change the curtains to something a bit funkier, and skirt the sewing table in something inexpensive and unassuming. And I’ll be bringing a lamp up from downstairs for the upper-left corner.
Oh, and there’s the big wall on the right (the “feature” wall, I’m told) that is currently, um, featureless. I think some shelving would be useful there–is there anything I’ve forgotten? Anything else I should add?
Thank you, everyone, for all your suggestions and support!

Gee, David. And you thought those pictures I took years ago of you modeling that sweater that your mother knitted for you were embarrassing!
H.
Why Harold! Did you mean these pictures?

And how are you doing? I was just thinking about you…
David, did your mother never get your measurements? And who said you were hideous?
Well done on your foray in the craft room. I don’t have such a luxury. My stash and projects are stored in room corners>>>hidden behind chairs and computer desk.
Is Mother’s shawl finished yet?
dose yourself and get rid of the cold soon
take care
If only I could get motivated to clean up!
Haha, congrats.
your craft looked like mine currently does….. one day soon! I swear i will clean it
Do you know about this? Why didn’t I know about this?

Jayne, I didn’t know about this either. It’s fascinating! I’ve just put up a post about it–thank you!
man you did a GREAT job cleaning up!
you’ve inspired me to try to clean my room!
Knitted hats off to you! It looks terrific. If you’re happy with it & feel inspired, it’s a winner. I could definitely curl up in that chair with a sock or a book with something warm in a mug & while away too much time.
Instead of shelving for the “feature” wall, how about a picture or pictures (photos or paintings, whatever). Calming & relaxing or energetic & lively. Something you like. A place to rest your minds’ eye. Even framed knit or craft pieces.
I would put up magnet boards on the feature wall — you could use it as an idea board for future work . . .
I have a room that looks like that (the before). Actually I have a few rooms that look like that……… nice turnout though. You have more resolve then I do.
